What is your photography style?

I tend to gravitate towards warmth. Golden hour, natural sunlight, warm tones. I also like to keep things as candid and natural as possible in my shoots. Lifestyle photography is a style of imagery that aims to capture the natural moments. Not posed, not scripted, just uniquely you and the people you love most in the world.

Who picks the location?

We all do! If you have a specific place in mind that's close to your heart, please let me know. Otherwise, I have multiple locations to offer to fit the style of photos you are hoping to achieve. I am willing to travel within Parksville-Victoria for that perfect setting, although I do charge an additional $50 for travelling farther than 30 minutes from Ladysmith.

What forms of payment do you accept?

E-Transfer auto-deposit to emilyweeksphotography@gmail.com, cash or cheque.

When do you take payment?

I collect payment at the end of our session.

When can we expect to receive our photos?

Two to three weeks for full and business sessions, six to eight weeks for weddings!

How do we receive our photos?

I deliver your images through a digital platform called Pixieset where you can download and share all your images instantly.

What should we wear?

First and foremost I want you to be feeling comfortable and confident in what you're wearing! Try to stick to clothing with a neutral or earth-tone colour pallet. Avoid clothing with vibrant colours, large graphic designs or labels on the front.

Will you be sharing our photos online?

All of my clients' photos will be posted to my blog, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest pages to generate client interest and keep building my business and brand.

What camera and editing processor do you use?

Canon 5D Mark IV and Adobe Lightroom.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

Hey, things happen! Reach out to me (the sooner the better) and hopefully we can work on rescheduling, especially if it's due to the unpredictable West Coast weather! If cancellation is necessary, please provide more than 24 hours notice to avoid the $50 cancellation fee.
